Palagio
RED WINE TYPICAL GEOGRAPHIC INDICATION : Produced with Barbera, Sangiovese, Shiraz grapes planted on the property’s vineyard. Traditional crushing with the skins for about 7 days with numerous pumping over. The temperature is controlled at 25° in stainless steel vats. The wine is clear and of medium body with a vivid ruby red, almost purple colour. The bouquet is sincere and untamed and releases quite strong scents of sweet violets and wild cherry with nice touches of almond and rhubarb. The flavour is dry, warm and mellow and sustained by a good acidity and tannin which is still a bit strong. To accompany rich, first dishes with meat sauces or second courses with more fatty meat which tends to be sweeter in flavour, perfect with pork capocollo.

Aurelius
MERLOT WINE Typical Geographic Indication : Produced with pure, merlot grapes from the vineyard of the property. Traditional crushing with the skins for 10 days, with continued pumping over. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature and never above 25°.Clear, and of a deep compact, ruby red, colour, it remains viscous and full bodied in the glass. The first impact is intense, the base is fruity, with suggestions of hay, straw and the inkling of wild fruit and black cherry .The bouquet is fruity with nuances of almond. It goes excellently with strong dishes and should be served in deep, red-wine glasses at 16-17°.
